The Holiday Balloon Fest, Inc. would
like to invite you, your family and friends to be a part of our
exciting Battle Creek winter event by volunteering your help and support on
the Balloon Crew and or Event Crew.

We Want You… to be crew!
Have you ever spotted a Hot Air Balloon in
the sky and say “Let’s Go,” get in the car and the chase is on? Well here’s
your chance to get the whole “Chase” experience by volunteering to be part of
a Balloon Team, by volunteering to be on the crew.
“Crewing” is a wonderful opportunity to meet
great people and be a part of a Team. As crew, you will be there through it
all (set-up, chase, landings, social events, Balloon Glows…) you will know
where your team is launching from and will know exactly where they land. You
will enjoy the majesty of ballooning first hand (and make new friends in the
process, what a bonus!).
So you say “I have never done that before”. Not
a problem! We are offering two (Count em’) 2 crew training sessions open to
all volunteers. This will expose you to different Balloon systems, techniques
and safety aspects of Ballooning. Can’t make the training or aren’t sure? Rest
assured, all pilots needing crew offer OJT. That’s right “On The Job
training.” Each Pilot will instruct you of his or her needs and your
tasks/duties.
We ask a few things from you.
- 1. Make as firm a commitment as possible.
- 2. Be prepared for the weather (Tis’ the
season ya know!)
- 3. Be prepared to get involved. Meet new
people and make new friends.
- 4. Be safe and most of all...
HAVE FUN!!
So call the family, call your friend’s even call
the neighbors. Fill in the volunteering form and come on out and play. It’s
hands on excitement for all. We have opportunities abound!

EVENT
CREW: Many exciting activities take place as part of the fest
including a Welcoming Party, Balloon Glows, Pancake Breakfast, attending
the Entrance Gates, Awards Banquet and all rely on the enthusiastic energy of
volunteers that set up, serve food, patrol safety & security issues, clean up,
be an aid to visitors as example.
